Fan Fiction

From the Breach in the Wall to the Zombie Mines
A Fanfiction By Brad 3-09-2014
After the Time Bomb blew a hole in the wall separating the adults' world and the children's world, a stand-off between people on each of the two sides began.  The adults were bigger than the kids, but were slightly timid.  Occasionally, a small number of adults would wander towards the opening in the wall and would dismantle any barriers the kids put up, and then try to enter the kids' world.  However, the kids would pick up sticks and successfully chase the adults back into their own world.  The kids also made a small number of expeditions into the adult world, but found it a very strange place indeed, because they were allowed to spend money, but not allowed by the adults to earn money to spend in the first place.
At first the standoff stabilized, but in time, more and more adults tried to enter into the kids world and the kids began to find it difficult to beat them all back.  Just as the situation was becoming dire, Brad the younger, came back.  Brad immediately organized an expedition into an abandoned region known for containing undiscovered technologies, in hopes that technology would be discovered which could keep the adults at bay.  Whilst on the expedition, Brad saw a piece of technology and connected a battery to it.  As a tiny red light on this piece of technology lit up, Brad exclaimed, "I have found what we need, it’s a motion detector".  Brad and the other kids went to the breach in the wall, and installed the motion detector.  The next day, an alarm triggered by the motion detector sounded in the Tower signaling that the adults had once again invaded.  The kids rushed to the wall, but discovered no adults had entered.  Brad investigated and discovered that the detector had been set off by sunlight, and he made an adjustment so that false alarms would hopefully no longer occur.
Eventually, the kids decided unanimously to make Brad the leader once again.  A meeting was held to discuss the adult threat and how to deal with it.  It was determined that the only things the adults recognized or responded to were, one, wealth of which the kids had very little, and two, official looking pieces of paper which the kids did not know how to make.  Fractal suggested that his zombies could be put to work mining silver and gold, and Brad agreed with that suggestion.  Macro made the ill-fated suggestion that items from the circus could be turned into super weapons to use to defeat the adults.  However, Jay disagreed, explaining that the adults are still stronger and would throw anyone who uses such devices into a pit, where they will rot for all eternity.  Brad concurred with Jay, and added that such devices would be of very limited usefulness and would only be an option of final last resort.  Next, Flash suggested that more expeditions be made into the adult world.  Brad agreed, and added that the expeditions might have more success of they carried silver and gold from the zombie mines for trade with the adults.  Finally, Alpha and Medea suggested the use of a media campaign to try to persuade the adults into more cooperation.  Brad said that it can't hurt, because the veritable gulf between the two worlds could not be any wider, but that he's not going to hold his breath for the adults to change their ways.  Finally, Brad made the closing statement, that, "Remember, the adults will not even argue with you. They will hold up a piece of paper, and say that you cannot argue with what it says."
